Congratulation! According to the official definition of European drone regulation, the Mavic 3 or Mavic 3 Cine has received the C1 EU type examination certificate and is eligible for classification in the A1 open category. This means: there is no longer any need for an expensive A2 remote pilot test!
The next good news: we help you all the way, from the application to the label to the final certificate. Now all you need is the DJI Fly app and your drone. Are you ready?
Step 1 - Vital Updates
First, check if your DJI Fly app is up to date (version 1.9.0 or higher). Then connect your Mavic 3 or Mavic 3 Cine and update to the latest firmware version (01.00.0900 or higher).
Step 2 - One tap
Once the firmware is up to date, a pop-up window will take you directly to the C1 tag application - just tap the "Apply" button.
"Not now" = you can continue the 2-minute process later in the customer service area of the app under "Class C1 ID Tag".
Step 3 - Simple order
Just fill out the short application form and send it. Your C1 label will arrive in the mail shortly. (Please note: labels are sent without a tracking number. Delivery time depends on local factors).
Step 4 - Quick proof
Attach the C1 label following the included instructions. Upload a photo of your drone with the tag to Fly App > Profile > Service & Support > Class C1 ID Tag.
Step 5 - Final Download
The final document will appear in the Fly App within 3 working days. Download it. Keep it with you during the flight.
If you have any further questions about the process, feel free to contact DJI's customer service team.
